Here is the bandcamp link to the new “When the Sky is Blue” EP:

huge big ups and much Respect,

Mic-Key Boston

Drawing influence from the 90s, timberland boots and the rugged sound of an era, Mic-Key Boston teams with Lyon-based producer, Karmawin to bring his first EP since 2013 entitled “When the Sky Blue”.

Rugged, blunt and motivated by a pen-game that released a fury on leaves are what fueled Mickey Boston to write and lyrical compose each track off his 2017 release, “When the Sky is Blue”. As every track was produced by Karmawin, the emcee and producer duo came together to bring a poetic boombap album.

The EP melds the conscious revolutionary-oriented style of Mickey Boston Kovaks with his poetic side whilst travelling and working in the Middle-East. While well-known for writing about aliens and tentacles, Mickey Boston returns with more content to the lyrical table. The duo of Karmawin and Mickey Boston come together to birth a cut-throat boombap product that is witty to say the least.

Karmawin and Mickey Boston came together on original production that hearkens back to the very rap that hiphop fiends from the late 90s initially fell in love with. As a veteran emcee-activist, Mickey Boston has yet to release his solo album despite having marked a notable presence on all six tracks of his hiphop group’s, Journeymen, debut EP entitled Pledge of the Respirator which was entirely produced by Journeymen emcee/producer, John Wholetrain.

Mickey Boston, although having recorded with hiphop legends of the likes of El Da Sensei, Craig G, Sadat X, Slaine as well as contemporary emcess of the likes of The Left’s Journalist 103 and BBAS’s Koncept, will be dropping his debut collaborative album with controversial graffiti artist Regimental Oneton entitled Enter the 36 Tentacles which is set for release June19th, 2013 on Planete Break Records.
